Wine and Food Festival |
A huge celebration of food, wine,
arts and crafts
The Tairua Wine and Food festival is a ritual amongst holidaymakers in
the Tairua and Pauanui area. Over 10,000 people flock to the festival
each year. A huge array of wild food stalls, wine, beer, entertainment
and of course stacks of arts and crafts stalls. The event raises money
towards facilities at the local school.

| Concert In
the Orchard |
Stunning
Setting, Swinging Sounds
Nestled amongst the rolling hills of the Coromandel Peninsula, Gary & Anne Fowler's rural property is the location of the annual "Concert in the Orchard". This must do event of the holiday season features local and international acts and raises money for worthwhile charities.
Well supported by local clubs and merchants, the event is popular with family groups with plenty to see, do and listen to. Aerobatics from the local stunt flying team, products from local wineries and music and entertainment for all ages and tasta from Opera to Rocking with the Stars.
All proceeds
go to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Trust. |

Beach Hop |

N Roll Festival. The Whangamata Beach Hop is a celebration of
the 50's and 60's which attracts between 40,000 and 80,000 people each
year. The highlight of the festival is over 1200 beautifully restored
hot rods and classic cars, which take part in a grand parade, and other
cruises to beaches up the coastline.

Scallop Festival |
Pure indulgence!
A weekend long celebration of Coromandel seafood and cuisine. Book your
tickets now for the festival marquee which will be located on the
Marina Reserve between 10am and 5pm Saturday. Over 30 food and wine
stalls, cooking demo’s, loads of competitions and great entertainment!
On Friday and Saturday nights Whitianga’s restaurants and café’s
will be cooking up a storm and hosting some great entertainment too.

Classic Multisport |
Two day
mutlisport event A two-day multisport challenge traversing
both coasts of the central Coromandel, including mountain and road
biking, trail running and kayaking. From weekend warriors to some of
New Zealands top athletes can be seen slogging it out against the
backdrop of the Coromandel ranges. The course can be shared by teams of
up to four people or for the very keen (or insane….) – take on the
